I came here with a friend after work, around 4:30/5PM and it's in a "back of neighborhood" kind of building. It's actually next to Katami which I'm excited because now I know where it is! They have valet parking for $8 for all the restaurants in that area which is super convenient but if you don't want to valet then there's street parking and a little walk over to the building! I came in through the bar side which looked like there were 2 company parties happening. There's another side which I guess is the restaurant side that also has a bar and I was seated by the host even though I let them know I was waiting for 1 other person and I wasn't sure if we'd be drinking or not. The bartender came over to take our drink orders and I asked her if I'd be ordering with her and she said either her or 1 other person but she didn't come by as often and only 1 other server came by while we were eating to check in on us. I ordered Chicharrons to start with a water and lemon and it came out fresh, with a lime crema, and I could hear the crackling! It was really good and quite a big bowl which is great for groups to share. We ordered tacos after a while and I got the 2 fish tacos with double beans since I couldn't have the spanish rice. The beans were good! I also enjoyed the chips and salsa they brought to the table initially and it was delicious overall. I will say the fish tacos were fairly pricey but I think for a restaurant of that calibur, maybe the pricing is average. I could tell the restaurant can cater to large groups because there was a group of 6 in a booth with other smaller parties of 2-4 people and people sitting at the bar. The hallway to the restrooms were so pretty also! I loved the aesthetics with the flowers hanging down. Overall, I paid for the 2 tacos and the chicharrons which came out to $35 after tax. I think I would come back and try other food items and try it with a group!

Verde garden is tucked away off a side street of the Montrose area. It has a parking lot, but it is maintained by a valet service. Its large indoor and outdoor spaces offer a variety of seating for groups. Inside, there are two bars that service drinks and food. The different bars offer different drink options. The drinks are very tasty and the bartenders are talented. You can't go wrong with a margarita. Verde garden also serves food. I think the food is fine. Some of our meat came out dry. If you actually want to eat good Mexican food, you have better choices in Houston. But if drinks are your priority, this will be satisfying enough. It can get pretty busy around peak times and there are often reserved table signs on some tables. I'll definitely come back for happy hour.

I love the patio here and the inside of the restaurant is also very pretty. I came during lunch so margaritas were half off. I got the mango which was perfect. Not too sweet and didn't taste like alcohol, but definitely was strong. I had the birria flautas which I was a bit skeptical to try because sometimes the food at these trendy restaurants isn't very good, but these were amazing!!! I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful they were. I did ask the waitress to bring me a spicier salsa which was pretty good. 10/10. Service was good too. Will definitely be back!

This place was so nice! I'll definitely have to come back! First impressions: Parking absolutely sucks here haha it took my friend and I so long to find parking spots! And when we did, it was a little walk. Just something to keep in mind Service: service was fast! Food and drinks came out so fast and the servers were all very nice. Food: I got the steak tacos and it was soooo good! It definitely satisfied my street tacos craving! I definitely want to come back here when it's not too hot, because the outside section is super pretty! Just couldn't enjoy it because it was too hot!

This place is beautiful!!!! Like every corner is perfectly decorated. Loved the decor! The food was good, there is something for everyone's budget. But what really stood out to me was Our server, I forgot his name but he was honestly the best. I went to a group dinner, half of the group was late and we had to wait to place our dinner order. He not once huffed or puffed he continued giving us the most amazing service, providing us with our drink orders bringing chips & salsa & our appetizer orders. He was amazing.

I picked this spot for a girl's Sunday Funday. Drinks were strong and food was great. I was a little wary because all the reviews were pretty meh. Yes the parking lot is huge and it's disappointing it's all valet but we were only charged $3 and they took credit card. It was a miniscule thing in the scale of life. We sat on the "cocktail" side and were warned we wouldn't have a server. it ended working out because we were just chatting the entire time and didn't get interrupted ever. when we needed something we just went up and ordered it ourselves. between us we tried: jicama salad (great right now with watermelon in season), chicharrons, chips+guac, brussels, chilaquilles, enchiladas, fried shrimp tacos and keto steak tacos, ooh and churros. A little something for everyone and definitely way too much food. During the first round of drink orders the bartender admitted to me she spilled mine and was going to get me a shot. I said sure. Once my drink was ready she asked "tequila or mezcal?" a woman of her word! Tequila it is. That was a very nice gesture that went a long way.

We definitely came back for Cinco de Mayo! They have nice decorations but it was raining so we all were a bit crowded underneath the patio. But it was lighting up so it wasn't too bad. I ordered the queso and chips again and got their mushroom al pastor quesadilla and it was SO good!!! This is a great spot for some good Mexican food and patio vibes!
